ABOUT US
At Flyin’ Hooves Farm we manage a small herd of Mini Nubians in Smithwick, TX. A small community in the hill country placed between Marble Falls and Lago vista. We keep our numbers small, so we can give our goats more time and affection compared to if the numbers were larger. We also have a large family, with 5 children. Our children help us with everyday work on the property, including the goats. We love teaching them what a farm is all about and what it takes to run it.
We got our first Mini Nubians back in 2018. “Momma Sophie” was our first goat, a bottle baby doeling (unregistered), and that’s where this love affair begins. We have slowly grown our herd to where it is now, and continue to improve our livestock. Our goals before were to have fun owning goats and enjoy the splendors of goat’s milk and it’s many endeavors. Though we still love that aspect of goat owning, we are now shifting efforts more into becoming more serious on improving the breed. Breeding to improve milk, breed character and most of all health; ALL while still enjoying the fun of owning goats. We want our goats to not only be healthy, quality goats with LOTS OF MILK, but friendly goats who make a great addition to your farm. Whether that’s a hobby farm, with a few milk goats, or serious showers looking for the next blue ribbon.
